Alice By The Seaside

24th December, 2006

We decided to have a family outing to Teluk Batik beach, near Lumut on this year Christmas holiday. It is a crowdy beach, although the sand is not that whitish but nevertheless it is rather fine. Alice has never been to a beach, so she freak out initially when she was brought into the seawater. It took her a while before she start to step on the waves. Later, we did so sand-castlining and she seem to like this new game.

Before we made our journey home, we stopped by Kg. Cina, nearby Kg. Koh for a sumptuos seafood lunch and bought so Foochiu's biscuits at Ayer Tawar. A day-long trip which quite tiring, our little princess showed no sign of weariness, and she does enjoyed it.

Alice Has A Feast At StarHill Gallery, Bukit Bintang

27th September, 2006

Jogoya

没想到。。。。。

Alice at Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

Date: 25/10/2006 ~ 26/10/2006

We just had a wonderful family outing to Bukit Tinggi, Pahang on the recent Hari Raya long holidays. Alice has had a great times.

Since that we had long holidays during the week, and Alice never really had any vacation before, we decided to bring Alice to Bukit Tinggi for a family escapade. The reasons we chose Bukit Tinggi are that it is less crowded, compared to Genting Highland and also Alice will has a chance to experience the wilderness of nature. So more, it is Mummy’s birthday, we can celebrate it in a special way.

We always had this worry that whether little Alice can accustomed herself to stay overnight in an alien environment, as she never done that before, arrangements were made to make her felt much at home. Well, in the end, our girl did not disappoint us.

Colmar Tropicale is still as charming as before, just that the foods and beverages that are rather expensive. Alice was fascinated by all those new things surrounding her. The ambience of a French-themed town square sure is as new experience to her. She was so enthusiastic to try out every new thing, including the stairway of our bedroom suite. In the afternoon of the day we arrived, we walked around the town square and then proceed to the Japanese Tea Garden and the Botanical Garden. We were surrounded by lush green of various plants and trees, and Alice were busy plucking every leaf that she could reach off. During the night, Mummy and Alice had a nice slice of Tiramisu, Mummy’s birthday present.

The next morning, we went for the Breakfast Buffet, I think should be Alice first buffet; she did really enjoy herself on the breads and cookies. We managed to see the swans, actually a pair of white swan and a pair of black swan. Alice seems to be more interested in the white swans. She seems to complaining that the swans did not come in front of her, despite she tried so hard to yell at them. Then we went to the Rabbit Farm, for the first time in her life she had come so close to so many cute little bunnies. Guess what, after this trip, she managed to shed off her fear on her rabbit fluffy soft toy at home. It just had shown how important it is for children to get in touch with the real natural objects.

All in all, we had a really nice and memorable holiday.

Alice start dRawINg!!

Alice started to learn how to grip a pen a couple of weeks ago. Give her a crayon and drawing pad, she will start her own grafitti. Many lines of various length and direction, rather meaningless, at least to the eye of the adults.

Now, also mark the start of the 'horrible moments' of parenting. Give her a pen, or a pencil, or a crayon, and she will just write or draw anything on anywhere. Floors, chairs, walls, anywhere but not her drawing pad. So, the aftermath of cleaning up is naturally fall unto us.

Must figure out a way to teach her draw on proper paper, and start to teach her to draw some meaningful objects or figure.

Alice Falls Sick

Our darling had a bad flu last weekend. Her flu symptoms had been ocurring since last week, with sneezing and running nose. We thought of that she might want us to return to 'manja' her, before the sickness recovered. So we decided to make trip back to Ipoh. She was terribly trilled upon seeing our arrival and excited the whole night. But she could not sleep well that night, always making fuss and cried; she was fevering at 2 a.m. in the night. A trip to clinic was inevitable. We took her to visit Dr. Wong Hou Mei, a paedeatrician in downtown Ipoh. Here is the photo we took after she took the medication.

As you can see, she is not her usual self, must have been the toll of sickness had drained a lot of her energies and also the effect of medication. Pity she.

Compare with this picture, which we took just barely 2 weeks ago, see how cheerful she is. I wonder she lost any weight, or not?

Thank goodness that, she start to recover the following Monday. According to her gradma,'Po po', she is getting back to her naughty self.

Faces of a Diva

Little Alice posed up a little bit! As I tried to take some picture of hers on the dining table, she kind of playing peek-a-boo with me by moving to the left and to the right, seemingly avoiding the shutter's len. But actually I think she must have thought that why I hid my face behind the camera and she want to peek into my face. She must have thought that to be very funny.

From the pictures, isn't that she looks cute? I am quite sure that Alice has some sort of the elements when coming to face the camera.

Korean Food Dinner

Alice had her first treat on Korean food last Wednesday, 2 days ago. We went to the restaurant named Daorae Garden located in Sri Hartamas. Well, judging from her facial expressions, she is not really fond of Korean food. However, there is one thing that astonished us very much, her ability to befriend other little kid. When we kind of finished our dinner, we let her roamed freely on the floorboard. There is another girl about 2 years of age was at a table on the far corner, and when the girl came approaching, Alice was excited and waved vigorously to her and try to uttered something to her. That little girl responsed to Alice by walking closer and they start to communicate using their unique way. The girl took things from her own table and gestured to give them to Alice and our little girl took them back to our table without any hesistance. We can see that Alice is so thrilled at her own act, and in fact we are proud of the fact that she can mix with other without the shyness that always hovering on her father, that is me, even until today.

Alice Has Grown Up

Last Friday, when Alice was at Abadi Indah, walk into the kitchen and looked for her mother. When she saw Lily, a magical word came out from her mouth, "Ma Mi". I guessed this is a confirmed first two-syllables word coming from her. We also kind of hearing "xie zi" uttered from her mouth when playing with her shoe.
